Welcome to
ST. ANTHONY HIGH SCHOOL
According to St. Anthony's Century: 1858-1958 by Hilda Engbring Feldhake, Reverend Simon Peter Hoffman was the force behind the creation of St. Anthony High School. Although poor health forced Father Hoffman to leave St. Anthony before its inauguration, the high school opened in the Fall of 1912 with a student body numbering eight: six freshmen and two sophomores. From this small yet inspired beginning, St. Anthony High School has grown in student population and physical size.
Today's St. Anthony High School, home of the Bulldogs, features a challenging curriculum that includes advanced placement classes (Statistics, Calculus, and English) and dual credit courses (Comp. I, Comp. II, College Algebra, and Finite Math). A talented faculty made up of a dynamic blend of veterans and rookies, works hard to meet the needs of St. Anthony students.
Technology is also a plus at St. Anthony with the computer to student ratio at 1:2.5. The school also boasts two computer labs and a computerized learning pod in the science department. "Smart Board" technology is used in chemistry/physics classes, and a multi-media class makes its debut in 2007-2008, offering students an exciting technological experience.
St. Anthony's motto "Press on to the Goal" comes from Philippians 3:14: "I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me Heavenward in Christ Jesus." Spirituality is a vital part of the St. Anthony High School curriculum. The religion department is headed by Father Ted Bracco and includes Monsignor Leo Enlow and Father Daren Zehnle as teachers in the program. Service is a major part of the spiritual aspect of St. Anthony High School. SAHS students are required to earn 80 hours of community, school, and church service before they graduate.
Thank you for visiting St. Anthony High School's website. We are proud of the school and continue to "press on to the goal" in our efforts to produce responsible, contributing, Christian members of our society.
