I teach Freshmen and Senior
English and Psychology at St. Anthony High School. I am also the student
council advisor here. This is my third year teaching at St. Anthony (or
anywhere) and I have enjoyed it.
Educational Background:
I graduated from Eastern Illinois University in May of 2003 with a Bachelor's in
Arts.
I am currently working on my masters degree in English.

Classes:
English IV:Studies traditional
British Literature beginning with the Anglo-Saxons and
ending with late 19th century literature. We study poetry, drama, and
novels.
The novels/plays we are reading for 2006-2007 include 1984, Frankenstein,
Macbeth,
The Importance of Being Earnest, and Things Fall Apart.

In the Class, we study a
variety of literature including short stories, poetry
drama, and novels. The novel we read is Harper Lee's classic, To Kill a
Mockingbird. The other major units we cover during the year are the
Odyssey, Romeo and Juliet, and The Miracle Worker. We also
spend time covering grammar, learning vocab, and writing papers.
Assignments: Short Stories Test on Friday for 4th hour and Monday for 6th hour.
Psychology:
This class is
an introduction to Psychology. This is only a semester class, but I try to cover
as much material as possible during this time. The chapters we cover include
Physiology and Behavior, Sensation and Perception, Consciousness,
Learning, Memory, Problem Solving,
Infancy and Childhood, Adolescence and Adulthood, Personality, and Abnormal
Behaviors.
Assignments:
None for Thursday or Friday.
