We would like to thank the everyone that have generously donated to the High School Addition project.
After many years of planning, designing, fundraising and praying, construction of an addition for St. Anthony High School has been completed. Bishop Lucas signed the contract in April 2002 allowing the process to begin.
Swingler Construction Company, was awarded the contract for the general construction of the facility in the amount of $4,572,000. Much work was done on the existing high school facility including asbestos removal, new ceiling tiles, enlarged computer room, new carpeting, entrance to new addition and new cabinets, shelves and closets. The students and staff have adapted well as this construction continues during the school year.
The new facility began to take shape with the structure enclosed allowing interior work to continue during inclement weather. Two of three homes purchased adjacent to the school have been relocated and the other home has been demolished.
The new high school was ready for the 2003-2004 school year.
