One of the exciting events that has occurred each year in Goff Gym has been the annual homecoming event. Often, the homecoming dance is then held in Goff Gym. The first queen crowned in Goff Gym was Miss Edna Mae Boos and the last queen crowned in Goff Gym was Miss Kimberlee Kabbes, daughter of Gregg and Debbie Kabbes.

In 1952 the first St. Anthony High School yearbook was developed and titled “Quest” after the patron saint of the parish, St. Anthony. Each year, St. Anthony produces a spring theatrical play for the enjoyment of the parish and the public. These plays have been held in Goff Gym since 1952. Although Goff Gym is primarily known as a facility for athletic events it has hosted a number of plays, special masses, competitions and special events.

St. Anthony High School has been supported by a number of groups. For 54 years the STA cheerleading squad has been known for their precision cheers. The student fans, once called the Tones and Tonettes, are now called the Dawg Pound. The SAMBA group supports our musical events and performers. The Bellettes dance squad was formed in 1967-1968 and has won 2 state dance championships in recent years.

St. Anthony has had 5 state basketball teams. Two of those teams competed under the single class system. Those were the 1956 and 1970 teams. The 1978, 1991 and 2001 teams participated in the Class A state tournament, with the ‘78 team finishing fourth.
