TODAY’S MEETINGS & EVENTS

·         NHS will meet in the office conference room during lunch TODAY.

·         NHS TUTORING will be available in the library from 3:00 to 3:30 TODAY with Heather Esker & Jenny Brown.

·         FALL PLAY CAST & CREW will be selling flowers for Sweetest Day starting today during lunch. Show your sweetheart you care!

·         BELLETTES will practice at 5:30 TONIGHT in the gym.

·         DRIVER EDUCATION – signup for the fall Driver Ed class at EHS is now in the office. All 15-year olds who have not yet taken drivers ed, and those who will be 15 by December 31st should sign up in the office by Friday. Class times are 3:15 to 5:15 and 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

·         The following students need to see Mrs. Mette: Meredeth Jackson, Alexis Niebrugge, Michael Nosbisch, Ryan Ragland & Chelsey Spruell.

 

UPCOMING MEETINGS & EVENTS

·         STUDENT COUNCIL will meet TOMORROW during lunch in Mr. Scherzer’s room.

·         GIRLS KAIROS LEADERS will meet at lunch on Wednesday in the office conference room.

·         BOYS KAIROS LEADERS will meet at lunch on Wednesday in Mr. Zaccari’s room.

·         THE BLESSING OF PETS will be celebrated on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in the parking lot of St. Anthony Church. 

·         ALL MAGAZINE DRIVE ORDERS must be turned in to the office by Friday, October 24th.

 

UPCOMING COLLEGE REPRESENTATIVE VISITS – Seniors & Juniors - please sign up in the office ASAP if you’d like to meet with any of these reps.

·         Lake Land College – TOMORROW during lunch in the library. All seniors who plan to attend Lake Land College in the fall of 2009 should attend.

 

SERVICE HOUR OPPORTUNITIES

·         Help is needed to direct parking at the Flat Land Jam Concert this Friday, October 10th and Saturday, October 11th at the Effingham County Fairgrounds. See Mrs. Tammy Keller to volunteer or for more information.

·         The Effingham Fire Department is looking for two people to help them at a Fire School on Saturday, November 1st and Sunday, November 2nd from 7:00 a.m. to approximately 12:30 p.m. each day. Duties will include checking in firefighters at the registration desk, assisting with lunch setup and tear down and answering any questions the firefighter may have on classes that day. Contact Joan Buzzard at the Fire Department at 342-5346 to volunteer or for more information. Volunteers will be provided with lunch each day of service.
