HOMEWORK POLICY (for students in the math 76 book:)

 1) Amount: 15 problems will be completed every day. Days will alternate between a "teaching day" and a "workday."  On a "teaching day" one or two sections will be taught and #1 through #29 odds will be assigned from the last section taught that day.  The following day will be a "workday."  Questions from #1-29 odd will be checked on the overhead by the student and #2 through #30 from the same set will be assigned. Answers to #2-30 even will be on the overhead during class so the student can check as they do the problems.  Many students can finish #2-30 even before the end of the "workday" and therefore have no homework problems to take home on a "workday."  Problems #1-30 should all be done on the same piece of paper (please use the back side).

 2) Appearance: Homework should be done in a graphing notebook, in pencil with the proper heading as described in the handbook.  Fold the paper to create two columns: problems should go down the first column, then down the second column, then do the same on the back side.  Staple if more than one sheet of paper is necessary.

 3) Grading Policy: A homework assignment is worth 100 points. 10 points will be deducted if the rules for appearance are not followed. 10 points will be deducted if the assignment is one day late.  A zero will be given if it is more than one day late.

TEST POLICY (for students in the Math 76 book:)

 1) Frequency: A test will be given every two weeks, with a review sheet given prior to the test.  The review may be taken home for study use, but must be returned the day of the test.

 2) Grading Policy: Tests and homework are used to determine overall grade; a test is worth double a homework grade.
