Course Description:

This class is designed for you to better your public speaking skills and become proficient in preparing and presenting organized speeches.  In this class, we will go over the basics of what makes up public speaking.  The first half of the course will be about speaking techniques and the “do’s” and “don’t’s” of public speaking.  The latter half will focus on the research aspect of speeches and work collaboratively when delivering speeches.

In this course, you will be required to give five major speeches with diverse topic areas.  To better prepare your presentation in front of the class, we will have multiple impromptu “mini-speeches” and debates every few days.  In addition to that, we will have the occasional quiz, a test at mid-term, and a final.
