The tradition of high quality Catholic education at St. Anthony’s began on August 24, 1869 with the St. Anthony Grade School. By 1927 St.Anthony’s educational offering reached 4 years of secondary education for the first time. In 1949 Goff Gymnasium was constructed. In 1967 Catholic education at St. Anthony was enhanced once again with the construction of our current high school. Our parishioners dreamed even then as they designed a phase two of this high school facility. And that dream continues today with plans for an important new educational addition at our high school.

In 1998 I asked a group of parishioners to embark on a long range planning process for our parish. I accepted their recommendations and work ensued soon after to improve communications, curriculum, facilities and parental involvement. We also hired an Assistant Superintendent of Schools to assist the pastor. And recently we completed our new Parish Center that will serve parishioners of all ages for years to come. In January of 2000 we formed a core team to develop a plan for this high school addition. The team has grown to over 50 parishioners who have defined and refined these plans based on requirements of our students, teachers and parishioners. With the completion of this business plan and the approval of the various parish committees and advisory groups, it is time for our parish to move forward with this important project. I thank you for your consideration and your prayers in helping us make our dream a reality.
