Meeting Minutes

October 1st, 2007

 

Opening Prayer- Ron Willenborg

 

Treasurer’s Report-Total in Checking & Savings = $15,098.06                   

 

Topic 1-Theater Production-(Ron Willenborg)  As of today (first day of official sales) 35 tickets have been sold. We need to sell 125 to break even. Has gone to many churches to talk about theatre production. Mentioned that FACE is going to be using the RoseBud Theatre. Wondered if they would need their stage lights. Discussed whether we should determine if they will be selling them and, if so, make an offer.

 

Topic  2- Pizza Fun Raiser – (Laura Connerly) Everything on track. Forms will be out by Nov 9th. Laura will reserve the MPR.

 

Topic 3- 50/50 Drawing – (Ron Willenborg) Discussed conducting 50/50 drawing at basketball games. Ron will check with Mike Hoene to see if this is acceptable.

 

Topic 4- Meet the Bulldogs Pre-Game Dinner Nov 16th- (Sharon Robb) Just need to order food. Everything else is on track. We are going to have Joe’s Pizza do the catering. Cost is going to be $6 meal for all ages. Pre-School and under will be a $ 4.00 meal.

 

Topic 5- Fish Fry - (Michele Dallmier) Parish Center has been reserved. Deposit check has been sent. Will need help. Sign-up will be conducted later.

 

Topic 6- Variety Show – (Laura Connerly) - Barb might chair. Checking into getting help from Grade School parents. Talked about date of March 15th but need to get approval.

 

Topic 7- Festival Disney Competition – (Laura Connerly) 37 out of 40 kids are going as of now. Talked about taking some chorus kids for tech crew but need to get that approved first. We are going to make initial payment of $2,500 at end of month.

 

Band Director’s Report - Ms. Cyrus- Has been conducting playing exams for the high school. Have 5 auditioning for IMEA next week., 5th grade band starts next week. Percussion students were required to get a set of bells in addition to a snare drum so that they will be ready for high school. Current high school percussion line is not  experienced with bells.

Church Director’s Report – Mrs. Konrad - ( Not attendance) Minutes were sent to Michelle and read at meeting.

 

Chorus Director’s Report - Mrs Whitlatch-  Has 5 chorus students auditioning for state. Chorus will be singing at the RoseBud Theatre in December.. Talked about elementary program. She spent $119.00 for a music program since they do not have any teaching materials. Mrs. Whitlatch requested SAMBA to pay for this since they did so last year. Discussed having the Grade School pay for this next year since they are class materials for the elementary grades.

 

Next meeting is set for Monday, November 5th at 6:30 p.m. in the High School Band Room.
