Purpose/Objectives:
- To
maintain an enthusiastic interest in the various phases of the music
program.
- To
assist with special events, transportation, and uniform maintenance.
- To
organize and coordinate fund raising events for the sole purpose of
furthering the activities of the music departments.
- To
cooperate with those in charge of the music departments of the grade school
and high school , the St. Anthony Board of Education, pastor, and
administrators so that these departments can be brought to and kept at the
highest possible degree of efficiency.
Meeting
Times:
Usually
the first Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the High School
band room. Please check
church bulletin for meeting notices or contact a SAMBA officer.

- Trip
to Little Theatre on the Square for 5th grade classes to attend
musical theatre production, 2006-2007, $275
- Purchase
of marching percussion equipment
for new high school drumline,
2006-2007, $10,000
- Purchase
of wind shirts for High School Band parade uniforms, 2006-2007, $3,500
- Junior
High Band trip for Music Festival at Six Flags St. Louis, 2005-006, $2,500
- Chapter
6 concert for 4th – 12th grades, 2005-2006, $3,500
- Purchase
of 6 timpani – 4 for High School Band
and 2 for Grade School Band
(cost split with Educational Trust), 2004-2005, $8,000

School Band trip to Nashville,

of lighting for High School stage, 2003-2004, $1,500
Future
Goals:
To
raise funds to help the High School Band and Chorus attend a music competition
at Festival Disney in Orlando, Florida, 2007-2007 $550 per student (approx
$35,000)
Fundraisers:
Fall
Pizza Sales – students not only sell pizzas but make them as well.
Students form an assembly line and are responsible for topping and
packaging all of the pizzas they
have sold and delivering them.
