Total of $12,693.41.
Only bill for Spring Concert awards has not cleared.
$7,800 is in reserve for student’s band/chorus trip accounts.
Special Business: Mr.
Dempsey could not be present tonight due to another appointment.
Laura read an e-mail from him that discussed his decision to return to
retirement and , thus, resign his position as band director for the new school
year. Laura mentioned that she had
participated in an interview for one of the candidates and was scheduled to sit
in on another. There are a couple of
very good candidates.

– $1,325 to SAMBA. $62.35 to trip
accounts for volunteers who worked 4 hours.
$77.94 for volunteers who worked 5 hours.

– Laura referred to an e-mail
from Mr. Dempsey that all awards have been
ordered and received.

hold due to Mr. Dempsey’s resignation.

Parent Meeting for last week of school.
Current funds in student accounts is $7,800.
Group agreed that deposit needs to be paid by each student
attending in order to gain commitment.

Requests & KC Presentation –
- Michele
Dallmier spoke with Sports Booster Club to get info on their guidelines
for expenses related to “state” trips by athletes so that we can set
up something similar for students who make it to the All-State Honors
Choir or Band. 1 room is
reserved per 4 attendees. If
parent goes, parent pays for room. $10
per day for meals. No gas
provided except in certain circumstances.
Michele will document and a vote will be taken at next meeting.
- Mrs.
Whitlatch submitted request for 3 sets of risers for next school year.
Mr. Dempsey submitted reques t for purchase of four new concert
snares. Kate Bilbrey and
Sharon Robb will prepare a presentation to the Knights of Columbus to see
if they could help offset some of these requests.
They are on the agenda for the May KC meeting.
New Business
Laura
mentioned that the SAMBA web-site has been updated although there are a few
errors that need corrected and some additional photos to be added.
Michele
requested permission to move $5,000 to a 5 month CD in order to earn some
additional returns on the money.
Request was approved by the majority.
Presented
Sr. Cordula with a card and a gift to show SAMBA’s appreciation for her
years of service to the music programs at our parish and our schools.
