Need to get it on the school calendar. Shooting for March 15th, Palm Sunday weekend since there are no school events on that day and it is between the Spring Musical and the High School Band Trip. Laura suggested getting some grade school moms to assist with production.

Topic 7: Band/Chorus Trip (Laura Connerly) - Have 19 band students confirmed so far. Only 2 Chorus students. Laura needed a $100 deposit check for Festival Disney and a $500 deposit check for Bales Unlimited bus service. SAMBA officers will call parents of students who are not confirmed by September 7th to verify attendance.

Topic 8: Bylaws (Michele Dallmier) – Changed SAMBA dues from $5 to $20 per family. Talked about getting chorus more involved in participation of SAMBA activities, possibly a sub-committee. Sharon will re-type bylaws for vote at next meeting.

Topic 9: Reimbursement Requests (Michele Dallmier) – Michele submitted Reimbursement Policy for review. Will approve at next meeting.

Topic 10: Clavinova Program (Barb Konrad) – Charlie Brumleve wanted to know if SAMBA would assist in purchase of clavinova. Cost would be between $3,900 to $7,000. Group discussed and agreed per a vote that this was not an expense that we could afford at this time due to other projects already targeted.

Band Director Report (Ms. Cyrus) – Ms. Cyrus stated that the High School has begun marching and just starting with the basics. Discussed implementation of Advisory Council with one student from each class participating. There are two parades scheduled for October 27th and 28th. She will need 3 chaperones for each parade.
